A fresh on-chain alert has revealed that 1,337.1 ETH was deposited into Tornado Cash, a well-known Ethereum mixing protocol, by an unidentified hacker. The transaction was flagged by CertiK Alert and is believed to be linked to compromised multi-signature wallets.
Reports indicate that the suspicious funds may be associated with earlier irregular withdrawals involving Wrapped ETH (WETH) and Story tokens, raising concerns within the blockchain security community.
Mixing platforms like Tornado Cash are frequently used by attackers to obscure transaction trails, making stolen crypto harder to trace. Investigations are ongoing as analysts continue monitoring wallet movements to assess potential risks to the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
