Ethereum consensus layer client Prysm has published an in-depth analysis of the Fusaka mainnet incident, which temporarily disrupted validator performance across the network.
Whale Buying & Selling Explained:
According to the report, the issue occurred when Prysm beacon nodes processed proofs from un synchronized peers, leading to resource exhaustion and delayed validator responses. The disruption impacted epochs 411439 to 411480, resulting in 248 missed blocks across 42 epochs.
Why Psychology Matters More Than Charts :
Network participation briefly dropped to 75%, and affected validators collectively lost approximately 382 ETH in staking rewards. Prysm developers advised users to apply a temporary configuration change while confirming that future releases (v7.1 and v7.1.0) will include long-term fixes to prevent similar incidents.
